摘　　要：根据斯皮瓦克的观点,帝国主义话语贯穿着19世纪英国文学,主导着这一时期的文学主题。然而,作为这一时期的重要作家之一,康拉德却是帝国主义话语的质疑者、思考者、反叛者中的一员。虽然许多读者及学者认为康拉德是继吉卜林之后重要的帝国传奇冒险文学作家,但他却并没有像他的前辈那样鼓吹帝国主义,而是以理性的审视态度,对帝国主义的进步性表现出鲜明的批判与否定,对19世纪盛行的社会达尔文主义、殖民主义持有强烈的批判态度,揭露了帝国主义的毁他性和自毁性。According to Spivak, imperialist discourse runs through 19th-century English literature and dominates the literary theme of this period. However, as one of the important writers of this period, Conrad is one of the critical thinkers of and rebels against imperialist discourse. Although many readers and scholars believe that Conrad is an important imperial adventure writer after Kipling, he does not preach imperialism fervently as his predecessors did, but rather shows a clear criticism and negation of the progressiveness of imperialism and maintains a strong critical attitude towards social Darwinism and colonialism prevalent in the 19 th century, trying to expose the destructive and self-destructive nature of imperialism.
