摘 要:“红头巾”和“红盖头”是《人生》中两个典型的象征符号,“红头巾”是高加林和刘巧珍唯一的爱情信物,其作为现代文明的象征符号承载了高加林对理想恋人的塑造以及对现代文明的追求。“红盖头”作为传统文化的象征符号,不仅体现了刘巧珍对自己现实处境的认同,也体现了高加林追寻现代文明失败后对乡土文化的重新凝望。无论高加林对刘巧珍的“理想改造”,还是刘巧珍放弃“红头巾”选择“红盖头”,都是路遥在创作前期对现代文明和乡土文化“非此即彼”选择冲突的一种表征。“Red scarf”and“red veil”are two typical symbols in Life.“Red scarf”is the only token of love of Gao Jialin and Liu Qiaozhen.As a symbol of modern civilization,it carries Gao Jialin′s shaping of ideal lovers and pursuit of modern civilization.“Red veil”,as a symbol of traditional culture,not only reflects Liu Qiaozhen′s identification with her actual situation,but also reflects Gao Jialin′s renewed gaze on rural civilization after failing to pursue modern civilization.Whether Gao Jialin′s“ideal transformation”of Qiaozhen or Qiaozhen′s abandoning the“red scarf”and choosing“red veil”,it is a sign of Lu Yao′s“either-or”choice conflict between modern civilization and rural culture in the early stage of creation.
