In this paper,a ring-coupled neural network is constructed with the Hindmarsh-Rose(HR)neuron model as the node, and the influence of the damage of the network on its discharge pattern and synchronization behavior is investigated. The study found that when the neural network is normal, the neuron has better performance of receiving and outputting information, and the appropriate coupling strength can adjust the discharge mode and synchronization behavior of the system. When a certain degree of damage occurs in the network(including damage to some neurons or synaptic connections),it will cause the performance of neurons to receive or output information to weaken, which will cause changes in the firing pattern and firing frequency of neurons in the system. The degree of synchronization of the system is reduced. The above research results show that damage to the neural network will affect the firing activity of neurons and lead to abnormal synchronization behavior of the network, thus providing a certain theoretical explanation for revealing the formation mechanism of neurological diseases.
