摘　　要：美国菲律宾裔作家卡洛斯•布洛桑的代表作《美国在心中》是最早获得主流读者认可的美国亚裔文学经典之一。本文借助约翰•厄里和黄秀玲的流动性概念和理论观点,从主人公卡洛斯及其家人的农业移民身份出发探讨其物理学意义上的横向流动、社会经济学意义上的纵向流动和人物内在成长意义上的精神向上流动,指出《美国在心中》是一部关于菲律宾农业移民的跨太平洋流动性叙事,该书在揭示美国殖民统治期间菲律宾农业移民的生存困境、探索其突围路径的同时,从种族和阶级的双重维度达成对美国流动性神话的诘问和颠覆。Filipino American writer Carlos Bulosan's representative work America Is in the Heart is one of the first Asian American classics to gain recognition among mainstream audience.Employing the concept of mobility by John Urry and Sau-ling Cynthia Wong and their relevant theoretical views,starting from the protagonist Carlos and his family's identity as migrant farmers and farm workers,this paper examines their physical horizontal mobility,socioeconomic vertical mobility,and spiritual upward mobility.It is argued that America Is in the Heart is a trans-Pacific narrative of mobility about Filipino migrant farmers and farm workers.The book,in disclosing their plight for survival during the U.S.colonization of the Philippines and seeking possible ways of social improvement,questions and subverts American myths of mobility from the dual perspectives of race and class.
