皮肤病学期刊稿件存在的问题

摘　　要：目的总结同行评议人(PR)在提交皮肤病学学术期刊以供发表稿件中发现的问题。方法收集一位PR 2015年4月至2020年6月对40篇稿件提出的审稿意见,将意见中的问题归类,统计分析每类问题和每亚类问题出现的频数,以及PR建议拒稿的原因。结果在评审的40篇稿件中,共有32篇(80.0%)存在研究相关问题。其中7篇(17.5%)无创新性、23篇(57.5%)存在科学错误或有争议、22篇(55.0%)存在图片问题。40篇(100.0%)稿件均出现写作相关问题,包括14篇(35.0%)为组织结构问题,17篇(42.5%)内容缺乏一致性,25篇(62.5%)内容不完整,17篇(42.5%)内容过于简单、重复和冗长,22篇(55.0%)语言不通顺,27篇(67.5%)出现错别字、术语不规范、缩略语错误,36篇(90.0%)出现文献引用错误。在被审的40篇稿件中,8篇(20.0%)被审稿人建议拒稿,其中,无创新性3篇(37.5%),存在严重组织结构问题4篇(50.0%),报告的病例诊断错误1篇(12.5%)。结论所有稿件中都存在需要修订的次要问题。少数稿件中存在不可弥补的重大问题,PR建议拒稿。引起拒稿的问题主要包括无创新性、严重科学错误和写作问题。Objective To study the problems found by a peer reviewer in the manuscripts submitted to academic journals in dermatology for publication.Methods Collect the comments on 40 manuscripts made by a peer reviewer from April,2015 to June,2020,classify the problems found in the manuscripts,and make a statistic analysis of the frequencies of each type and subtype of the problems,as well as the frequency of the manuscripts being given a rejection suggestion,and the proportions of the various reasons leading to the rejection suggestion.Results Of the 40 manuscripts reviewed,32(80.0%)manuscripts had research-related problems:7(17.5%)were not original,scientific errors and controversies were found in 23(57.5%),and there were photo problems in 22(55.0%).All the 40(100.0%)manuscripts had writing-related problems,the frequencies of which were:poor organizational structure in 14(35.0%),inconsistency in 17(42.5%),incompleteness and oversimplification in 25(62.5%),repetition and wordiness in 17(42.5%),unclear and unsmooth language in 22(55.0%),wrongly written characters,unstandardized terminology,and wrong acronym in 27(67.5%),citation issues in 36(90.0%),respectively.Of the 40 manuscripts,8(20.0%)were suggested to be rejected.mong those 8 manuscripts,3(37.5%)and 4(50.0%)manuscripts were given a rejection suggestion respectively due to not being original and having severe organizational problems,1(12.5%)was given a rejection suggestion due to the misdiagnosis of the reported case.Conclusion All the manuscripts have minor problems worthy revising;while only some manuscripts have unmendable major problems,which may lead a peer reviewer advising to reject the manuscripts.The major problems mainly include lacking of originality,having serious scientific mistakes or severe writing problems.
