Brief Report on the Excavation of the Yangshao Cultural Remains at the Xiaodian Site in Baofeng County,Henan

摘　　要：小店遗址位于河南平顶山市宝丰县杨庄镇小李庄村委会北侧,沙河支流应河从遗址北部流过(图一)。遗址范围东西长约200、南北宽约220米,总面积约44000平方米。A group of cultural remains dating from the Yangshao,Erlitou,and Yinxu cultural periods through the Han and Tang dynasties were uncovered from the excavation of the Xiaodian site in Baofeng,by the School of History,Zhengzhou University et al.in 2017.Amongst them,Yangshao cultural period features include houses,moats,midden pits,and burial urns,along with a pottery assemblage made up of ding tripods,jars,bowls,vats,and ewers,as well as stone axes,slab stones,and a small quantity of painted pottery.The assemblage of pottery vessels at Xiaodian resembles early mid-Yangshao cultural remains unearthed from the Yiquanma site in Weishi,the Shigu site in Changge,the Dahecun site in Zhengzhou and the Gouwan site in Xichuan.Therefore,this excavation provides important materials for the study of settlement patterns and organization,as well as of interactions among related archaeological cultures during the Yangshao period.
