摘　　要：福克纳立足于美国南方,执着探索人类心灵的内在冲突这一永恒的主题。一方面,他痛斥南方人性的丧失,批判南方人逃避自我的生存状态,哀痛南方淑女的放纵堕落,同情南方种族主义下身份迷失的混血儿;另一方面,他又极力复苏人类的种种美德,充分肯定南方人敢于面对自我的勇气,醉心于南方女性的坚强与博爱,钦佩具有坚定人格的混血儿。从文学伦理学批评基本理论出发,试图管窥福克纳主要作品中的伦理关系和伦理现象,从而剖析福克纳的伦理道德观,进一步揭示福克纳对美国南方伦理道德的关怀。Rooted deeply in the American South,William Faulkner devotes his life to explore the eternal theme of the inner conflict of human mind.On the one hand,Faulkner sharply denounces the loss of human nature,criticizes the southerners’self-escaping existence,grieves over the indulged and fallen Southern ladies,and sympathizes with the mixed blood for their lost in self-identity under racism.On the other hand,Faulkner endeavors to revive all kinds of human virtues,fully affirms the southerners’courage of facing themselves,idolizes the strong and humanitarian Southern women,and admires the mixed blood of strong-willed personality.Based on the fundamental theories of ethical literary criticism,the paper attempts to analyze the ethical relations and phenomena in Faulkner’s major works in order to explore his ethical ideas and further reveal his concern for the ethic and moral of the South.
