摘 要:《墙上的斑点》被誉为弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫意识流小说开山之作,体现了其现代主义小说人物观及人物美学革新。在人物内涵维度层面,从展现人物存在、塑造人物性格转向聚焦人物意识、勾勒人物人格;在人物塑造模式层面,运用情景化与透视法凸显人物主体性与人格面貌;在人物角色功能层面,呈现人物的社会性、主体性与超验性三重存在维度,拓展了人物角色的背景功能、启发功能与召唤功能。“The Mark on the Wall”,as the milestone of Virginia Woolf’s stream of consciousness novel,fully embodies Virginia Woolf’s experimentation in the aesthetics of characterization in her modernist fiction.In terms of the dimensions of the characters,Woolf makes a turn from revealing the characters’existence and disposition to delineating the characters’consciousness and personality.In terms of characterization,Woolf presents situations and employs perspectivism to foreground characters’subjectivity and personality.In terms of the functions played by the characters,Woolf presents three dimensions of existence,i.e.the social existence,the subjective existence and the transcendental existence,thus expanding the functions played by the characters to serve as the background or inspire and invite more emotional experiences.
