In order to explore the developing trend of mental health among postgraduates, the study selected 78 articles using the SCL-90 symptom self-rating scale and employed the cross-sectional meta-analysis method to explore the mental health changes of postgraduates during the years between 2000 and 2017,aiming to examine the relationship between the mental health of 69,294 postgraduates and the temporal changes. The results showed that:(1)In the SCL-90 study of postgraduates from 2000 to 2017,the five factors of interpersonal relationship, depression, anxiety, hostility and paranoia were all of a small effect, which indicated that the overall mental health level of postgraduates had improved on these five factors during the said period of time;(2)Four groups of different groups were taken as research subjects, namely male vs female,first-year vs non-first-year postgraduates, liberal arts students vs science students, urban students vs rural students. It was found that there was significant correlation between certain individual factors and times only in terms of the gender groups, while no significant correlation was found between the two in terms of other factors.
