Objective To explore the differences in the influence of different lateral dysfunctions on the degree of post-stroke depression in stroke patients so as to provide a theoretical basis for paying closer attention to the mental conditions of patients in rehabilitation treatment. Methods A total of 90 right-handed patients divided into two groups,45 with handed dysfunctions and 45 with non-handed dysfunctions, were selected. Each subject's upper extremity function, hand function, cognitive function,ADL and the degree of post-stroke depression, using the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),were evaluated.Statistical processing was performed according to the results to analyze whether there was a difference in the degree of post-stroke depression between patients with handed and non-handed lateral dysfunctions and the relevant factors that affected the degree of post-stroke depression in patients. Results The SDS scores of stroke patients with handed lateral dysfunctions are significantly higher than those with non-handed lateral dysfunctions(P=0.000).Conclusion The degree of post-stroke depression in stroke patients with handed lateral dysfunctions is more severe than those with non-handed lateral dysfunctions.
