摘　　要：王星拱是较早在中国宣传科学方法,推崇科学精神,并躬耕于科学教育事业,对科学哲学发展有积极贡献的学者和教育家。他穷一生之力普及科学知识,并力争发扬科学的"明物致用"价值,力促科学与人文结合,力图以科学方法为武器开发民智,提高国民科学水平和思想认识水平。Wang Xinggong was among the early scholars and educators,who spread scientific methods,advocated scientific spirit and dedicated to the cause of scientific education in early twentieth centry China.He devoted all his life to popularizing scientific knowledge,bringing the scientific function of"clarifying the laws of things and meeting people’s needs"into play,in order to develop people’s wisdom,to improve national scientific and thought level through scientific methods as weapons and to demonstrate the value of science.He has made great contribution to the philosophy of science in China.
