摘　　要：我国是世界竹类植物资源最为丰富的国家,有着悠久的栽培利用历史和深厚的竹文化底蕴,素有“竹子王国”之称。新中国成立后,特别是党的i^一届三中全会后,随着改革开放的进程,家庭联产承包责任制的推行,广大竹农承包经营竹山,经济生态效益显著。1991年原林业部在杭州组织召开全国竹业工作会议,推动了我国竹业空前发展,竹子资源、竹林培育、加工利用、科学研究等方面处于世界领先水平。China Bamboo Culture Festival is the only international event in China that strives to promote bamboo culture and bamboo industry and achieve bamboo economic prosperity.Since 1997,10 sessions of the festival have been successfully held.The history of the event can be divided into three stages:the pioneering period,the sustainable development period and the transitional development period.The festival has made significant contributions to the development and the use of bamboo resources by revitalizing bamboo industry,the socialist culture prosperity by upholding bamboo culture,the local economic growth and bamboo farmers’income increase by strengthening economic and trade cooperation,and the bamboo related technology exchanges and collaboration by expanding international exchange.
