垂直专业化、研发效率与垄断势力

摘　　要：在发达国家依靠技术垄断优势长期占据全球价值链分工高端的背景下,发展中国家的中低端锁定风险加剧,中国参与全球价值链垂直分工是否有助于跨越"功能分工陷阱"?本文首先从理论层面将垂直专业化、研发效率和垄断势力纳入统一框架,分析垂直专业化影响研发效率和垄断势力的理论机制,然后基于中国制造业分行业数据进行实证检验。研究结果显示:(1)中国制造业行业的整体垂直专业化水平和研发效率有明显提升,但只有少部分行业的垄断势力获得明显提高;(2)垂直专业化能够提高研发效率和垄断势力,但对研发效率的促进作用存在时滞效应;(3)将研发效率分解成技术进步和技术效率,发现垂直专业化仅对技术进步有明显的促进作用,研发效率正向调节垂直专业化对垄断势力的影响,且这种正向调节作用的发挥主要依靠技术进步。In the context of developed countries occupying the high positions of global value chains by technology monopoly for a long time,the locking risk of middle and low positions sharpens in developing countries.Whether participating in vertical division of global value chains can help China to skip the functional division trap is worth considering.Firstly,this paper incorporates vertical specialization,R&D efficiency and monopoly power into a theoretical framework,and analyzes the effect of vertical specialization on R&D efficiency and monopoly power.Secondly,based on the data of Chinese manufacturing industries from 2002 to 2016,this paper uses the system GMM method to verify the hypothesis.The results show that during the sample period,the overall vertical specialization level and R&D efficiency of Chinese manufacturing industries were improved significantly,but only a few industries improved monopoly power obviously.Vertical specialization can improve R&D efficiency and monopoly power,however there is a time lag effect on the promotion of R&D efficiency.Furthermore,after decomposing R&D efficiency into technological progress and technological efficiency,the empirical results show that vertical specialization only promotes technological progress,while R&D efficiency can positively moderate the impact of vertical specialization on monopoly power,but it just depends on technological progress.
