摘　　要：关于手稿与档案的关系问题,中西方的认识存在一定的差异。在我国,手稿是档案的一部分。而在西方,一般认为手稿与档案是相对立的关系,或者认为手稿作为私人档案与公共档案相并列。产生这种差异的根本原因在于中西方对档案一词界定的不同。这种不同又源于中西方档案管理实际与档案文化的差异。Regarding the relationship between manuscripts and Archives,there are certain differences between Chinese and Western understandings.In our country,manuscripts are part of Archives.In the West,it is generally believed that manuscripts and Archives are in an opposite relationship,or that manuscripts are regarded as private Archives alongside public Archives.The fundamental reason for this difference lies in the difference in the definition of Archives between China and the West.This difference comes from the differences between Chinese and Western archival management practices and archival culture.
