Objective To investigate the effect of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)on early breast development in girls aged 4-8 years. Methods From February 15th to April 30th,2020,girls aged 4-8 years who were diagnosed with early breast development in our hospital were selected as the research objects. The questionnaire survey was conducted by collecting paper questionnaires, completing the electronic questionnaires through scanning the Quick Response(QR)code and telephone follow-up,and the questionnaire content included the general situation and behavior habits.A total of 162 valid questionnaires were collected as the observation group. The same questionnaire survey was conducted on mammary undeveloped girls aged 4-8 years who visited the hospital in the same period, and 162 valid questionnaires were collected as the control group.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors for the increased risk of early breast development. Results Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that prolonged use of electronic products(TV and mobile phones),less exercise time, and weight gain within two months were risk factors for the increase of children with early breast development during the epidemic(P<0.05).Conclusion Prolonged use of electronic products(TV and mobile phones, etc.),less exercise time, and weight gain within two months during the COVID-19 epidemic may increase the risk of early breast development in girls.
