To explore the removal of heavy metals in water by cheap cinder and solve the problem of agglomeration of cinder in the adsorption, polydopamine(PDA)was used to modify cinder to prepare a new composite material PDA-C,besides,the composite material was characterized through SEM,EDS and FTIR.Adsorption effects before and after modification were discussed, and the effects of the dosage, solution pH were investigated. The results show that when the dosage of adsorbent PDA-C is 0.25 g,and the pH is 3.0,the removal effect of Cr^(6+) can reach 92.58%.The fitting data show that the removal of Cr^(6+) in solution by PDA-C fits the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation well, and the correlation coefficient is 0.93.Freundlich model(R^(2)>0.95)can describe the isothermal process better, which indicate it is mainly based on physical-chemical compound adsorption, and the temperature increase is conductived to adsorption. The results can provide a theoretical basis for recycling of solid waste and the removal of heavy metals in wastewater.
