摘 要:智能反射面(Intelligent Reflecting Surface,IRS)是一种基于数字超材料的新兴技术。通过对IRS上多个反射元的电磁特性进行联合设计与调控,可以实现对于无线通信环境的实时控制,从而进一步解决当前无线通信系统中存在的问题。对IRS的相关研究文献进行了综述,从基础理论、提升系统通信性能、提升系统物理层安全性能三个方面总结了当前的研究成果与进展,并且进一步讨论了在设计IRS辅助下的无线通信系统时所面临的挑战以及潜在的研究方向。Intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)is a brand-new technology based on digital meta-materials.By jointly designing and controlling the electromagnetic characteristics of the reflecting units on the IRS,it is feasible to realize a real-time controllable wireless communication environment.Thus,IRS can be further utilized as a solution to the existing problems of the wireless communication system.This paper provides a review on the IRS technique along with the related works,by summarizing relevant researches and progress from three perspectives:basic theory,enhancing of communication performance and enhancing of physical security performance.Moreover,some challenges in designing wireless communication systems assisted by IRS are discussed,and several potential research issues for future researches are provided.
