Objective:To explore the value of atherogenic index of plasma(AIP)and other traditional lipid indexes in predicting coronary heart disease(CHD)in diabetic patients. Methods:A total of 3278 patients who underwent coronary angiography and had a definite diagnosis of type 2 diabetes in our hospital from September 2018 to April 2019 were enrolled.Patients were divided into CHD group(n=2052)and control group(n=1226)according to coronary angiography.Logistic multivariate proportional risk regression model was used to explore the value of AIP and its residual lipids in predicting CHD in diabetic patients. Results:The incidence of coronary heart disease was 62.60%and the plasma arteriosclerosis index was 0.33 in the whole population.Pearson correlation analysis showed that AIP was correlated with (TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,non-HDL-C)of other lipid indexes.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that AIP was an independent risk factor for CHD in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, which was verified by multiple models and was superior to other traditional lipid indicators. Conclusions:AIP is a powerful independent predictor of CHD in diabetic patients, and its predictive value is better than that of traditional blood lipid indexes.
