摘 要:华人英语文学中的上海书写兴起于20世纪末,与中国国内的海派怀旧书写几乎同步,但海外的上海书写尚缺乏系统研究。华裔后代如谭恩美等人书写的一般是西化的老上海,往往选取特定的上海文化符号,以迎合东方主义的阅读趣味,然后再设法通过叙事技巧进行形象逆转,呈现东方摩登之下的宽容开放、坚韧务实的大都会精神。相比而言,从大陆赴美的留学生作家如裘小龙则通过改革开放的广阔空间超越老上海书写封闭的租界特性,展示上海精神中既敢为人先又圆融练达的部分。Shanghai as a metropolis emerges in Chinese American literature towards the end of the 20th century,which is synchronized with the nostalgic writings of the old Shanghai in China's Mainland.However,there has been no systematic research so far of overseas literary presentation of Shanghai.American writers of Chinese descent like Amy Tan seemingly present an old Americanized Shanghai with specific cultural symbols to cater to American orientalist proclivities before they reverse with skillful narrative techniques to highlight Shanghai morale of tolerance,openness,pragmatism and sophistication underlying a sheen of exoticism.Some immigrant writers after Chinese Opening-up tend to meet readers'cold war Orientalism,while some writers like Qiu Xiaolong pay more attention to post-Cultural-Revolution Shanghai typified in her resilience,hybridity,flexibility and prosperity.
