陈训慈先生对民众图书馆思想的贡献

摘　　要：陈训慈先生一生纵横史学、图书馆、教育、编辑出版等领域,爱国忧民,识见卓绝,述作颇丰。但学界对其研究一直处于不温不火之态,与陈训慈先生的丰功伟绩实有相当差距。文章从陈训慈先生高屋建瓴界定民众图书馆概念,指出民众图书馆的时代使命、藏书建设要点、阅览推广方法,及倡导提升民众图书馆员职业素养等角度阐述先生对民众图书馆思想的贡献。In his whole life,Mr.Chen Xunci has devoted himself to the study of history,library,education,editing and publishing.He was a prolific author who was patriotic and concerned about the people.However,it pains us to see that there is a huge gap between the academic research on his works and the great achievements of Mr.Chen Xunci.The author elaborates the concept of the public library from Chen Xunci’s unique perspective,points out the mission of public libraries in different periods,the key points of collection construction,reading and promotion methods,and advocates the promotion of the public librarians'professional qualities.
