摘  要:多件经过调质处理最大直径为150mm的40Cr钢主轴在精车时发现头部有裂纹。为此,检测了开裂主轴的的化学成分、硬度和微观组织,分析了裂纹的形貌。结果表明:该主轴的化学成分和硬度均符合要求,但存在大颗粒夹杂物,裂纹的末端有尖细状的和圆钝状的;裂纹伴随有显微缩孔,两侧有轻微的脱碳。以上结果说明主轴开裂是淬火操作不当和材料缺陷造成的。Many pieces of main shaft 150 mm in maximum diameter,made from 40Cr steel and quenched and tempered,was found to have cracks at its head during finish turning.For this reason,analysis of chemical compositions,measurements of both hardness and microstructures were done for the cracked main shaft.The results showed that(a)the main shaft had desirable composition and hardness but undesirable large-granular inclusions;(b)the cracks exhibited sharp or obtuse end,were accompanied by both microshrinkages and slight decarburization on both sides.From the above results it was seen that the main shaft cracking was attributed to the fault in quenching practice and the defect in material.
