西北屯戍汉简中的“居令延印”现象及其相关问题研究

摘　　要：目前学者们大多认为西北屯戍汉简中印文的抄记文字"居令延印"属文书人员对"居延令印"的误抄。本文指出这种非正常读序的官印抄记,实际上是文书人员有意为之。其根本原因在于西汉武帝时期进行的两次官印改革没有对印文的读序、印文字体及印文的阴阳作出强制性规范。推测原封泥印文为右上起横读形式,但是文书人员按照主流的右上起竖读的顺序来抄记印文,遂被记作"居令延印"。Many researchers have agreed that the texts Ju Ling Yan Yin(seal of Ju Ling Yan),which are written on military garrison bamboo slips of the Han Dynasty unearthed from northwest China,should really be Ju Yan Ling Yin(seal of Ju Yan Ling).The present paper proposes that the unusual word order above was intentional,which may result from the lack of regulatory requirements in the two reforms in seal use during the reign of Emperor Wudi regarding,for example,how texts should be read,what types of script are to be used,and whether a relief or incised pattern should be used.The original seal scripts,we suggest,should read horizontally from the upper right side;however,the officials made a mistake by copying down the scripts vertically(from top to bottom),a more conventional way of writing at the time.It is against this background that Ju Yan Ling Yin was miswritten as Ju Ling Yan Yin.
