摘  要:The focus of this special issue of the journal,Private Supplementary Tutoring,has growing importance not only in China but also globally.The research community has arguably been slow to catch up with reality insofar as private supplementary tutoring has for several decades been a major feature in the lives of many students and their families but has only recently become a significant component of the literature.
