摘　　要：20世纪中叶以来,以古代晚期研究为主要阵地的“罗马世界转型”范式逐渐兴起,对爱德华·吉本构建的“罗马世界衰落”的经典解释模式形成极大挑战。拜占廷史家塞奥非拉克特作品《历史》是研究古代晚期历史书写的极佳范例,其写作方式兼具“古典”与“神学”双重特征,以及其所记述的莫里斯改革反映的正是古代晚期所强调的“转型”特征,即通过改革形成与时代趋势相符的政治与军事制度,旨在探索缓解晚期罗马危机的方案,进而探寻从晚期罗马向中世纪拜占廷转型的路径。Since the middle of the 20th century,the“transformation of the Roman world”paradigm,which mainly focuses on the study of late antiquity,has gradually emerged,posing a great challenge to the classical interpretation model of“the decline of the Roman world”constructed by Edward Gibbon.Byzantine historian Theophylact’s works“history”,is a good example to study late antiquity history writing,the writing methods of both“classical”and“theology”dual characteristics,and the Maurice’s reform reflects the story of“transformation”features of late antiquity,that is formed by reform is consistent with the time trend of political and military system.The aim is to explore a solution to alleviate the crisis of late Rome and to explore the path of the transition from late Rome to medieval Byzantium.
