摘  要:讲谈社和新潮社是日本两家具有代表性的老牌出版社,第二次世界大战之前各有自己的市场范围,前者以大众文学为主,后者以纯文学为主。战后,为了实现经济效益最大化,两家出版社都进行了战略调整。讲谈社创刊文艺杂志《群像》开始进入纯文学的领域,并由此提升了出版社的品味;新潮社则为拓宽读者层,创办了杂志《小说新潮》和《周刊新潮》,在探索将纯文学与大众文学结合起来的“中间小说”上做出了特殊贡献。这两家出版社在出版界激烈的竞争中不断调整战略布局,在发展自身的同时促进了当代日本文学创作的繁荣。Kodansha and Shinchosha are two representative old-established publishing companies in Japan,and both of them had their own business scopes before World War II.The former focused on popular literature,while the latter focused on pure literature.However,they both made strategic adjustments to maximize their economic benefits after the war.Kodansha has entered the market of pure literature after launching the magazine“Group Portrait”,thereby elevating the taste of the company.Meanwhile,Shinchosha has established“Shosetsu Shincho”and“Shukan Shincho”in order to broaden the readership,which has also made special contributions towards exploring the“middlebrow novels”that combine pure literature with popular literature.These two publishing companies keep adjusting their strategic layout continually to face the fierce competition in publishing circles,and thus promote the prosperity of contemporary Japanese literary creation while developing their own business.
