摘　　要：Dear colleagues and friends,We are extremely sorry to notify that Prof.YU Shen,one of the founding editors of Journal of Thermal Science,also former Executive Chief Editor and Honorary Editor-in-Chief,passed away on 26th July,2021,in Beijing,at the age of eighty-eight.After two months of medical rescue in Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Beijing Longfti Hospital,Prof.YU died of pulmonary infection(bacterial pneumonia).
