论《海》中的空间形式

摘　　要：约瑟夫·弗兰克(Joseph Frank)提出的空间形式要求从空间逻辑思考和看待小说。约翰·班维尔(John Banville)的小说《海》讲述了一个沉重的关于爱、死亡、记忆的故事,将不同空间以及不同时期的同一空间巧妙地架构在一起。文章拟从弗兰克空间形式的三个特征即时间流中止、并置、反应参照出发,分析小说《海》的独特结构模式和内在蕴含,解读作者种种安排所起到的空间立体效果,感受作者从空间形式中对时间的思考以及对人生存困境的探讨。The spatial form proposed by Joseph Frank prefers to consider novels from the view of spatial logic.The Sea written by John Banville tells a story about love,death,and memory in which different spaces and the same space in different time are constructed.This paper analyzed the unique structural pattern and intrinsic implication of this novel in the perspective of three characteristics of Frank’s spatial form,namely,the time flow halted,juxtaposition and reflexive reference.In this way this paper would try to interpret the spatial effect in the author’s various arrangements,and to touch the author’s thinking on time in the space form and the discussion of the human survival dilemma.
