叶君健“精品再创造”翻译思想阐释——以茅盾“农村三部曲”英译为例

摘　　要：本文在考察中国现代著名作家和翻译家叶君健有关翻译的观点及文章资料的基础上,梳理并阐释其翻译思想中“翻译是精品再创造活动”的核心论点,指出其翻译思想与中国传统翻译理论的承传关系,并以他英译的茅盾“农村三部曲”为例,从语言、修辞、文化等层面剖析其“精品再创造”翻译思想在译作中的体现。By probing into views,articles and commentaries on translation of Ye Junjian who is a man of letters and a literary translator in the 20th-century in China,this paper intends to find out the core ideas“the recreation of the original”underpinning his translation thought and to establish a close relationship of his translation critique with that of traditional Chinese translation theories.Then,by taking his English translation of Mao Dun’s Three Seasons Trilogy as an exemplar,this paper attempts to explore how Ye Junjian retained high aesthetic and literary values in the target language from the aspects of language,rhetoric and culture,etc.in light of his own translation theory.
