《忽必烈汗》与忽必烈:蒙古汗国在西方的想象

摘　　要：《忽必烈汗》是英国诗人柯尔律治的名篇,该诗因怪诞的风格和丰富的想象引得国内外学者纷纷撰文解读。作为一首以蒙古大汗忽必烈为原型创作的诗歌,少有学者关注诗作中具有蒙古特色意象的建构。诗中呈现的“宫殿”“少女”和“大汗忽必烈”三个代表性意象反映了诗人对蒙古汗国的无意识想象,从诗人建构的蒙古汗国形象中能够管窥彼时英国社会对蒙古汗国的理解和认知,也可揭示出诗人从西方视角建构的蒙古汗国形象的形成机制和二重性特征。Kubla Khan is a famous piece written by the British poet S.T.Coleridge.The style of this poem is grotesque and full of rich imagination.Therefore,scholars at home and abroad have written many papers to interpret the poet’s creative thought and mysterious imagination.As a poem based on the Mongolian Great Kub-la Khan,few scholars paid attention to the poet’s construction of images with Mongolian characteristics.The three representative images“palace”,“girl”and“Kubla Khan”stand for Coleridge’s sub-conscious imagina-tion of Mongolian khanate.Through analyzing the construction of the image of Mongolian khanate,this paper can give a glimpse into the understanding and cognition of Mongolian khanate in the British society.Besides,this paper can also reveal cultural mechanism and power relations contained in the image of Mongolian khan-ate,which the poet created from a from a Western perspective.
