摘　　要：15世纪英语诗歌《花与叶》曾被视为乔叟本人的作品,在很长一段时间里备受好评。自19世纪末被移除出乔叟正典之后,《花与叶》曾一度沉寂,但20世纪后半叶以来相关评论有所回升。本文旨在论述,虽然《花与叶》省却了惯常的梦幻诗叙事框架“梦前序曲——梦境——梦醒后记”,并用“观剧”代替了“梦境”,但却是一首在乔叟梦幻诗影响下创作的“无梦之梦幻诗”。《花与叶》与其他几首没有梦境的乔叟系诗歌《黑衣骑士怨歌》《无情女子》和《爱情朝堂》一样,都反映了15世纪诗人面对前辈大师乔叟、面对风靡一时的梦幻诗创作风潮,内心感受到的“影响的焦虑”和涌动的革新冲动。The fifteenth-century English poem The Floure and the Leafe had for a long time been highly praised and dearly liked as one of the best of Chaucer’s own works before its removal from the Chaucer canon at the end of the nineteenth century.After a period of disregard due to the rejection,the latter half of the twentieth century witnessed a revival of critical interest in it.This paper argues that although The Floure and the Leafe abandons the usual dream narrative framework of“pre-dream—dream—after-dream”and replaces the dream core with a“stage show,”it is a“dream poem without a dream”produced under the influence of Chaucer’s dream poetry.The Floure and the Leafe and the other Chaucerian poems without dreams,such as Lydgate’s A Complaynte of a Lovers Lyfe,La Belle Dame Sans Merci and The Court of Love,reflects the“anxiety of influence”and the impulse of innovation on the part of the fifteenth-century poets confronted with the overwhelmingly influential fatherly figure of Chaucer and the popular wave of dream vision creation.
