大屠杀阴影笼罩下的流散犹太人之悲剧人格——从正统派视角探讨《记住我这件事》

摘　　要：在短篇小说《记住我这件事》中,索尔·贝娄巧借一名17岁犹太少年的荒诞经历,暗示、探讨了“流散”背景下的“大屠杀”主题,并对犹太人“流散”中的典型人格特质与犹太“大屠杀”之间的关系进行了深入阐释。作者在本作品中通过聚焦这位犹太少年的典型行事风格,生动展示、剖析了正统派的精神理念给犹太人个性所带来的灾难性的影响,揭示了犹太人在遭遇欺凌和不公时的懦弱心态和被动反应。贝娄在这部小说中认为,犹太大屠杀的发生除了纳粹之残暴和灭绝人性外,犹太人自身也存在问题,他们逆来顺受的软弱个性实际上为大屠杀推波助澜。作为一名严肃的作家,贝娄旨在警醒犹太人,让他们认识到这种形成于大流散时代的悲剧性的民族性格,同时阐明自己的犹太派别立场。In Saul Bellow'short fiction Something to Remember Me By,the writer enlists a 17-year-old Jewish boy's absurd experience to allude to and discuss the subject of the Holocaust in the context of Diaspora,elaborating on the subtle connection between the typical personality of Jewish people and the occurring of the Holocaust.By focusing on the young Jew's typical behavior,Bellow vividly displays the disastrous impact of Orthodox ideas upon the collective personality of Jewish people,revealing Jewish weakness and cowardice as they encountered persecution.In this fiction,what Bellow holds is self-evident,the occurring of Holocaust could be attributed,in part,to the weak personality of Jewish people,besides the Nazi atrocity and barbarousness.As a serious writer,Bellow intends to warn Jewish people,arouse their attention to the tragic character of their compatriots in Diaspora and declare his stance on Judaic sects.
