摘 要:作为瑶族的一支,粤北八排瑶的族源、迁徙及形成问题学界尚无定论。文献记载、瑶书文本、神话传说的互证为进一步研究提供了分析理路。盘瓠部族、武陵蛮五溪蛮、汉族等共同构成了八排瑶的族源;八排瑶先民经江淮入湖南,自宋代开始从湖南向岭南迁徙,渐次与粤北莫瑶融合,大体于元末明初形成排瑶格局,至明中叶已具有相当势力。值得注意的是,唐代粤北莫瑶不可简单等同于排瑶;“排”与“冲”二者相互依存,聚居为“排”,散居为“冲”。八排瑶等山地迁徙族群与周边族群的共生共融机制是铸牢中华民族共同体意识研究的重要内容。As a branch of Yao group,the argument on ethnic origin,migration,and formation of Ba Pai Yao in northern Guangdong has not been settled.The mutual verifications of literature re⁃cords,contents of Yao books as well as myths and legends provide an analytical clue for further study.The ethnic origin of Ba Pai Yao was jointly made up of Panhu tribe,Wuling and Wuxi bar⁃barian tribes,Han people and etc.The ancestors of Ba Pai Yao entered Hunan via Jianghuai Re⁃gion,migrated from Hunan to Lingnan since the Song Dynasty,gradually integrated with Mo Yao in northern Guangdong,roughly formed the pattern of Pai Yao in the late Yuan and early Ming Dy⁃nasty,and became rather influential in the middle Ming Dynasty.It is worth noting that Mo Yao in northern Guangdong in the Tang Dynasty should not be simply treated as Pai Yao,since the two Chinese characters"Pai"and"Chong"are interdependent:living together is called"Pai"while living dispersedly is called"Chong".The symbiosis and integration mechanism of the mountain mi⁃grating ethnic groups like Ba Pai Yao and the surrounding ethnic groups is a significant part of the study on consolidating the consciousness of Chinese nation community.
