摘　　要：柯林·罗是第二次世界大战以来建筑界最具影响力的学者、理论家和评论家之一,《拼贴城市》则是他一生中最为重要的理论著作,他在书中以超乎寻常的智慧和想象针对现代建筑的内质进行观察和阐述,并使之与更为广阔的人文思想领域关联起来。文章通过介绍《拼贴城市》这本著作的缘起和出版过程,梳理它的写作背景和理论意涵,并在20世纪60年代的人文主义思想背景下针对这些议题进行探讨。文章侧重柯林·罗对于现代建筑的反思与批判,考察文脉主义思想者与60年代后期的现代主义建筑师、规划师之间所进行的争论,并以此回溯了本书的写作缘由。在此背景下,文章阐释了《拼贴城市》所提出的一种可以将现代城市与传统城市进行结合的包容性建筑设计方法,以及一种民主化的城市设计策略,它能够使得相互竞争的利益主体进行合作,从而应对现代城市所导致的矛盾性状态。Colin Rowe was one of the most influential architectural academics,theorists,and critics since the Second World War,and Collage City was one of the most important works in his life,in which his writings and observations on the nature of modern architecture and its relationship with the wider world were a rich and compelling synthesis of intellect and imagination.By introducing the origins and the process of its publication,this essay examines the background and theory context of Collage City and explores these themes in relation to the wider world of the humanist context of the 1960 s.The essay focuses on Colin Rowe’s thoughts and reflections on modern architecture,examining the historical debates,which eventually formed the body of this book,between proponents of contextualism in architecture and the modernist architects and planners of the late 1960 s.In this context,Collage City proposed a form of inclusive urbanism that makes the modern city coherent with the traditional city and outlined a democratic urban design strategy that was structured to enable competing interests to cooperate in a comprehensive restoration of the collisive state of modern cities.
