Funeral diplomacy mainly refers to the bilateral and multilateral diplomatic activities carried out by politicians of various countries on funerals.During“Taisou no Rei”of Emperor Showa,Japan launched high-density diplomatic activities. The Japanese government was trying to take this opportunity to give full play to the advantages of the host.On one hand,it continually keep coordinating with the U.S.and strengthen its participation in international affairs. On the other hand,it tried to strengthen its influence in third world countries relying on its economic influence.Meanwhile,Japan also actively provided a diplomatic platform for the opposing sides of the Cold War,in order to enhance its own right to speak in the international political situation.Japan hopes to comprehensively strengthen its international status through high-density diplomatic activities in funeral diplomacy, and uses this as an opportunity to return to the list of political and diplomatic powers. With the newly opened diplomatic archives,it is possible to conduct a more in-depth analysis of Japan’s diplomatic activities.
