Active fault, exploration is the focus and difficult point of railway exploration.Geophysical prospecting technology is the main means of active fault structure investigation. For complex active faults,it is difficult to determine the accurate location and fracture zone range by single geophysical prospecting method. In order to improve the exploration accuracy of complex active faults, comprehensive geophysical prospecting technology combining multiple geophysical prospecting methods can be used.In this paper, taking the active fault exploration of a railway in Shanxi province as an example, the natural source magnetotelluric method, direct current sounding method and resistivity joint section method are combined to carry out fine exploration of the active faults.Through the comparison and verification of a variety of geophysical methods, the center position of the faults can be accurately identified, and the influence range of the fault fracture zone can be accurately isoluted. Finally, the borehole verification shows that the comprehensive geophysical technology is accurate and efficient in inferring the fault location and dividing the fracture zone, which provides accurate support for the railway line planning and risk aversion.
