中英两国主流报纸动物福利新闻报道共时对比研究

摘　　要：近年来,世界范围内要求动物立法和保障动物福利的呼声愈来愈高。参照费尔克劳的三维分析法,对《中国日报》和《卫报》的“动物福利”报道进行批评话语分析。语篇维度上,通过高频词及其搭配分析发现,《中国日报》关注野生动物保护和动物立法,而《卫报》关注商务运输和商业养殖农场的动物福利。通过情态动词分析发现,《卫报》的使用频率较高,两家主流报纸在低、中和高量值情态动词的使用分布上均呈现出一定的特点;话语实践维度上,阐释了两家主流英文报纸的直接引语均多于间接引语,但在消息来源和明晰度上有所不同;社会实践维度上,解释了两家主流报纸有关动物福利报道所隐藏的权力关系受制于中英两国不同经济、政治和文化因素的影响。动物福利在一定程度上反映了一个国家的生态文明程度,通过对中英两国主流报纸动物福利生态报道进行共时对比分析,能够为我国的生态文明建设提供参照。In recent years,there have been increasing demands for animal legislation and protection of animal welfare worldwide.The present research attempts to construct the CDA theoretical framework with the reference to the three-dimensional approaches of Faircloughto apply critical discourse analysis on animal welfare ecological news reports.In terms of discourse dimension,through the analysis of high-frequency words and their collocations,it is found that China Daily focuses on wildlife protection and animal legislation,while The Guardian focuses on commercial transportation and commercial breeding farmswith regards to animal welfare.Through the analysis of modal operators,it is found that The Guardiantends to employ more modal operators.The two mainstream newspapers show certain characteristics in the distribution of low,median and high value modal operators;In terms of discourse practice dimension,it is found that the two mainstream newspapers have more direct quotes than indirect quotes,but the source and clarity of the information are different;In terms of social practice dimension,it explains that the power relations hidden in the animal welfare reports of the two mainstream newspapers are subject to the influence of different economic,political and cultural factors in China and Britain.To a certain extent,animal welfare reflects the degree of a country s ecological civilization.It is hoped that a synchronic comparison of animal welfare ecological reports in mainstream Chinese and British newspapers can shed light on China s ecological civilization construction.
