10%。This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different banana processing residues on growth performance, nutrient digestion, meat quality and economic benefits of broilers.A total of 5401-d broilers with the same average body weight were randomly divided into 3 groups with 5 replicates per group and 36 broilers per replicate.Broilers in the control group were fed a basal diet(0%banana processing residue),and broilers in the T1 and T2 groups were fed diets supplemented with 10%and 20%banana processing residue, respectively, during the whole 1~42 d experiment period. Results:Compared with the control group, the body weight of broilers in 10%banana processing residue group on 42 d was significantly increased by 3.59%(P<0.05),but the feed/gain of broilers in 10%banana processing residue group on 1~42 d was significantly decreased by 3.28%(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the average daily gain of broilers in 10%and 20%banana processing residue groups during 22~42 d was significantly increased by 5.25%and 3.28%(P<0.05),respectively,while the feed/gain of broilers during 22~42 d was significantly decreased by 4.82%and 3.01%(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the apparent digestibility of organic matter of broilers in 10%and 20%banana residue groups was significantly increased by 3.81%and 4.19%(P<0.05),and the apparent digestibility of crude protein of broilers in 10%banana residue group was significantly increased by 3.40%(P<0.05).The concentration of thiobarbituric acid reactants was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Economic benefit analysis showed that the concentration of muscle system water and protein mercaptan in 10%and 20%banana processing residue groups were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05),but the weight gain cost per kg of broilers in 10%banana processing residue group was significantly decreased by 5.08%(P<0.05)compared with that in control group. Conclusions:Dietary supplementation of banana processing residue can improve the daily gain and feed efficiency of broilers
