行业特色型大学如何形塑世界一流学科——基于单案例的探索性研究

摘　　要：不同于综合型大学的学科发展,行业特色型大学具有独特的学术场域特征。如何依托行业特色形塑世界一流学科,这是当前“双一流”建设推进过程中面临的重大理论问题。以科罗拉多矿业学院矿业工程学科为案例研究对象,运用“分阶段+分层次”二维分析框架,通过全景式呈现案例大学一流学科的卓越历程,归纳案例大学所蕴含的世界一流学科的演进特征,并在此基础上适度推论,获得行业特色型大学形塑世界一流学科的基本逻辑。研究表明,行业特色型大学形塑世界一流学科的重要前提是确立学科特色型办学理念,以学科建设为基础,面向行业产业链提供多元服务和支持,以此引领未来学术发展方向。通过构建以应用研究为引领的学科群、高质量的跨学科研究和教育、良好的学科治理体系,助力整个学科生态系统健康有序发展。基于健康的学科组织结构,世界一流学科将成为一种自然生成的产物,不仅具有较强的学术创新力及全球声誉,还能够为行业产业乃至整个经济社会做出巨大贡献。Unlike the discipline development in the comprehensive universities,the universities with industrial features have unique academic field characteristics.How to rely on industry characteristics to shape world-class disciplines is a major theoretical problem in the process of promoting the construction of“double first-class”.Taking the mining engineering discipline of Colorado Institute of Mining Technology as the case study object,using the“phased+hierarchical”two-dimensional analysis framework,the excellent process of the first-class disciplines of the case university was presented in a panoramic way,summarizing the evolution characteristics of the world-class disciplines contained in the case university,and appropriate inferences were made on the basis to obtain the basic logic of the industry characteristic university to shape the world-class disciplines.The research shows that the important premise for industry characteristic universities to shape world-class disciplines is to establish the school running concept of“discipline characteristic”,taking discipline construction as the basis and providing diversified services and support for the industry chain,so as to lead the future academic development direction.By building a“discipline group”led by“applied research”,high-quality interdisciplinary research and education,and a good discipline governance system,will help to obtain the healthy and orderly development of the whole discipline ecosystem.Based on the healthy discipline organization structure,the world-class discipline will become a natural product.It not only has strong academic innovation and global reputation,but also can make great contributions to the industry and even the whole economy and society.
