摘　　要：论述了小说家格林厄姆·格林是如何成功地展现英国本土风貌的。人性因素包含着众多可能,格林想要表达的是当天真者遇到堕落、欲望或经验者时,后者必将被前者所击倒,想象力终将战胜严酷的心理现实。在作者与人物的互动下,格林实现了现代的转变。得出的结论是格林的小说完美地展现了现代社会中人的悲剧与救赎。This paper expounds how the novelist Graham Greene successfully displayed the people and their lives in the native land of England.Human factors includes numerous possibilities,and what Greene wants to show is that when an innocence man meets the fallen,someone with desire or the experienced,the later is sure to be overwhelmed by the former,and finally imagination will defeat the cruel psycho-reality.The author s function is illustrated in this way.Through interactions between Greene and his characters,he fulfills the transition of modernity.It concludes that the tragedy and redemption of men in modern society which is perfectly discussed in Greene s novels.
