摘　　要：中国近代大学校园规划多以轴线统筹校园整体布局和空间形态,其中岭南大学是美国布扎式规划在中国校园建设中运用的典范,以南北轴线空间最为突出。但在近年的校园更新中,如何诠释和展示校园轴线空间的多元价值成为亟待解决的问题。通过档案研究、社会情境分析和实地调研等方法,从社会变迁的视角,研究轴线空间的演变及其文化建构的特征和动因,对比分析不同时期岭南大学校园轴线空间的形式、功能和特征,探讨近代以来我国大学校园建设的社会价值取向变迁。发现岭南大学校园轴线空间通过节点营造赋予轴线使用、体验和象征意义。影响轴线空间文化建构的主要因素是时任政权、多元文化和社会思潮。该研究有助于加深对校园轴线与整体空间关系的理解,完善对校园轴线空间的多元价值认知,并为我国校园建设和管理的提供历史借鉴。At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century,the rise of modern universities has introduced Western higher education and campus construction models to China.Most campus spaces control their internal structural order and growth directions using axes.Among them,Lingnan University(now the Guangzhou South Campus of Sun Yat-Sen University)is a model of American Buza-style planning used in the construction of Chinese campuses.Its north􀀀south axis space is the most prominent.The campus development still clearly exhibits a spatial pattern of a“cross”axis.Owing to the heterogeneity of its cultural origins,modern universities in China are always at the center of political transformation,cultural conflicts,and the integration of educational ideas.The evolution of their campuses is affected by many factors(such as politics,the economy,and regional cultures in different periods),presenting distinctive characteristics of the times.Current academic research on university campuses has been largely successful,most of which take the axis as a key element of the entire system.However,there are few case studies on campus axes.In recent instances of campus renewal,interpreting and displaying the multiple values of the campus axis space have become an important problem to solve.Therefore,this article investigated the cultural construction of the axis space in Lingnan University from the perspective of social change,and took the evolution of the axis space pattern as the main line.Further,the formation,protection,and development of the campus axis space of Lingnan University were divided into two stages through archival research,situation analysis,and field investigations.The form and function of the axis space,along with the characteristics and motivation of its cultural construction,were analyzed.Finally,changes in the humanistic connotation and social value orientation of university campus construction in China since modern times were discussed.The study found that the axis space of Lingnan University
