民国时期私立北京聋哑学校探析  

On the Private Schools for the Deaf in Beijing during the Period of the Republic of China

摘　　要：私立北京聋哑学校于1919年9月1日在北京创办,是华北地区第一所由国人创办的私立聋哑学校,校长为杜文昌。学校创办以后,即面向社会各界招生,但当时的中国聋哑教育尚在起步阶段,且大部分聋哑学校由传教士创办,由于政府重视程度不够且社会对聋哑教育心存疑虑,在具体运作中困难重重。私立北京聋哑学校于1946年改为(私立)华北聋哑学校,新中国成立后于1951年11月由人民政府接管,纳入国民教育体系。Founded in Beijing on September 1,1919,private Beijing School for the Deaf and Dumb is the first private school for the deaf and dumb founded by Chinese in North China.Its principal is Du Wen-chang from Yexian County,Shandong Province.After the establishment of the school,it began to recruit students from the society.However,at that time,the deaf education in China was still in its infancy.Most of the deaf schools were founded by missionaries,and the government did not pay enough attention to the deaf education,and the Chinese people had doubts about the deaf education.In 1946,the private school for the deaf and dumb in Beijing was changed into(private)North China School for the Deaf and Dumb.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,it was taken over by the people’s government and incorporated into the national education system in November 1951.
