摘　　要：Social development generates new things and promotes the emergence of new words.Adding affixes is one of the main word formation methods in Mongolian and English,which is used-for-expanding vocabulary,improving language expression ability and meeting social needs.This thesis compared Mongolian and English word formation from the aspects of affix type,degree of abstraction,Morphological Productivity and Conversion.Social development generates new things and promotes the emergence of new words.Adding affixes is one of the main word formation methods in Mongolian and English,which is used-for-expanding vocabulary,improving language expression ability and meeting social needs.This thesis compared Mongolian and English word formation from the aspects of affix type,degree of abstraction,Morphological Productivity and Conversion.
