摘　　要：分别选取保罗·克瑞和杨廷宝师徒二人的相应建筑案例进行比较研究,据此来说明,杨廷宝从建筑场地、建造技术以及文化传统上着手,尝试在他的现代建筑创作中联结并呈现过往与当下的建筑时间。这个过程赋予他的建筑"不再"与"尚未"的双重属性,使他的建筑偶尔带着一丝别扭,但总是富有创意。正因为置身于社会现实中,他的建筑探讨了现实的可能性,并承载了如何让文化重塑自身的挑战。This paper inquires how Ya ng Tingbao’s talent was tested by time in embracing the challenge of modernization of architecture in China.In each test of time,a comparative research consisting of corresponding building works of Yang and his teacher,Paul Cret,will demonstrates that Yang attempted to connect and present building time of the past and the contemporary by addressing the problems of building place,construction technique,and cultural tradition.His architecture was doubly bound to the attributes of no longer and not yet,resulting in designs sometimes awkward,but always inventive,thanks to their involvement in the real possibilities for a contemporary cultu re that faced the challenge of remaking itself.
