Objective To investigate the influence of narrative nursing on mental state and self-care ability of patients with Alzheimer′s disease(AD).Methods A total of 139 patients with AD who were admitted to Guangzhou Liwan Central Hospital from May 2018 to May 2020 were prospectively selected as the research subjects and divided into the observation group(70 cases)and the control group(69 cases)according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional nursing intervention, and the observation group was treated with narrative nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The mental state and self-care ability of the two groups were compared before intervention and 2 months after intervention. Results After 2 months of intervention, the scores of directivity, immediate memory, attention and calculation, and recall and language ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05).The scores of self-concept,self-responsibility,self-nursing skills and health knowledge in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Narrative nursing intervention can effectively improve the mental state of patients with AD and improve their self-care ability.
