Objective To observe the clinical effect of peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)and subclavian vein puncture(SVP)on patients with chronic heart failure. Methods A total of of 97 patients with chronic heart failure were divided into a research group(56 cases)and a control group(41 cases)according to the different ways of venous catheterization. The control group was treated with SVP,and the research group was treated with PICC.The catheterization time, the success rate of one-time catheterization and the occurrence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The catheterization time and average catheterization time in the research group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The success rate of one-time catheterization in the research group was 94.6%,which was significantly higher than 78.0%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events 14.3%in the research group was significantly lower than 31.7%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PICC has the advantages of easy operation and few adverse events in the treatment of chronic heart failure, and PICC has more technical prospects and clinical application value.
