新世纪语言研究的趋向——《韩礼德全集》第11卷评介

摘　　要：韩礼德于2007年在Jonathan Webster的协助下,出版了10卷本《韩礼德全集》。2013年又出版了《21世纪的韩礼德》论文集,反映了他对新世纪语言研究趋向的认识,如语言研究应正确认识口述语言,语篇和话语,书面语、标准语、全球化语;词汇语法是人类意识从初阶到高阶的驱动力;应加强意义研究,特别是意义与大脑、语音、物质、意义潜势、语义的关系。在语言智能方面,应正确掌握和运用信息技术、符号学、认知科学、科学技术和隐喻理论。最后,理论贵在应用,特别是应用于语言教学、翻译和生态语言学等领域。With the help of Jonathan Webster,the late Halliday managed to get his 10-volume Collected Works of M.A.K.Halliday published in 2007.In 2013,we found the publication of his volume 11 entitled Halliday in the 21st Century.The new volume is a reflection of Halliday’s views toward language research in the new era.This covers:language researchers should have a correct understanding of the oral language,text and discourse,written language,standard language,and global language;lexico-grammar is a driving force for human consciousness to move from the primary stage to higher stages;meaning research is to be stressed,such as the relation between meaning and brain,sound,matter,meaning potential,semantics,etc.;as for language intelligence,we should correctly get hold of information technology,semiotics,cognitive science,science and technology,and metaphorical theory.Halliday also stressed the application of theory in practice in those fields such as language pedagogy,translation,and eco-linguistics.
