Objective To explore the correlation between self-perceived burden and quality of life in children with epilepsy(EP).Methods Eighty-two children with EP treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Xinyang Vocational and Technical College from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects. The quality of life of children were assessed by quality of life children with epilepsy(QOLCE) 1 day before discharge. At the same time, the self-perceived burden of children were assessed by self-perceived burden scale(SPBS).The correlation between self-perceived burden and quality of life in children with EP was analyzed. Results There was no statistical significant difference in QOLCE scores of EP children with different data characteristics(P>0.05).Through simple linear regression analysis, the results showed that self-perceived burden was related to the low quality of life in children with EP(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a certain relationship between self-perceived burden and quality of life in children with EP,and the lighter the self-perceived burden, the higher the life quality of children.Clinical intervention measures can be carried out according to this to improve self perceived burden and quality of life of children.
