摘　　要：随着留学生群体日益低龄化,小留学生们成为加拿大新移民作家关注的对象。这一独特群体受年龄和族裔双重影响,处于模糊不定的阈限阶段。孙博的长篇小说《小留学生泪洒异国》详细描写了六名就读于多伦多枫城学院的小留学生的学习生活。文中根据真实案件改编的院长陈德康绑架案聚焦受金钱诱惑走上犯罪道路的小留学生,记述了他们如何在步入迷途之后,经由悔过与宽恕实现社会规训和道德重塑,建立起新的价值认同,回归主流秩序结构之中。小说对小留学生问题的观察和反思折射出对教育背后社会经济因素的思考和批判。As Chinese overseas students become increasingly younger,they have become an object of attention by new migrant writers in Canada.Influenced by their age and ethnicity,this unique group of students finds itself in an uncertain liminal stage.Tears Scattered in an Alien Country,a novel by Sun Bo,gives a detailed account of the lives of six young students studying at Maple City College in Toronto.Adapted from a real case involving the kidnapping of Chen Dekang,director of the college,the story focuses on how money induces the young students onto the path of crime and how they return to the mainstream social order after they identify with the new values through repentance,forgiveness,realization of social discipline and moral reshaping,subsequent to their going astray.The observation of and reflections on the issue of the young students in the novel provide a critical lens to examine the socio-economic factors behind education.
