摘　　要：中华民国都城是中国古都学的重要研究对象之一。1940—1948年发生了一场由知识阶层发起、被政界利用的关于都城选址问题的大讨论。它是近代建都问题争论时间最久、内容最复杂和保存资料最丰富的一次论战。有近20座城市或地区被选为未来都城所在,其诸多优势及不利条件均被提及并有所讨论。此次建都论战既有对中国古代建都经验的总结及对中国战后国防战略部署的思考,亦有对国外首都区位特征的借鉴,蕴含了近代都城空间生产的新动向。将都城选址问题作为国家战略问题,置入历史、未来和世界这样的时空框架中分析与研究,拓展了中国古都学研究的内容和视野,且具有一定的理论意义。The capital of the Republic of China has always been an important research subject in Chinese Ancient Capital Studies. From 1940 to 1948, there was a huge debate in China over the choice of the national capital location, initiated by intellectuals and later taken advantage of by politicians. It has become the longest-lasting and the most complicated one with the richest historical data preserved, regarding other debates over the national capital location in modern times. At that time, nearly 20 cities or regions were considered as the future capital’s potential locations, each with their respective advantages and disadvantages in terms of history, geography, economy, transportation, military, culture, and climate. On the whole, the significance of this debate lies in its summary of ancient China’s experience in building capitals, reflection upon the national defense strategy deployed by post-war China and reference to the location of some foreign capital cities, indicating a new trend of space production of capitals in modern times. Furthermore, by rendering the location of capitals as a national strategic issue and considering it within the spatial-temporal framework,this article enriches the content and broadens the horizon of Chinese Ancient Capital Studies with its theoretical insights.
