新兴跨学科领域在主要分类法中如何设类——以女性研究为例  

How Bibliographic Classifications Cope with Interdisciplinary Fields:The Case of Women’s Studies

摘　　要：文章以女性研究为对象,查阅其在《美国国会图书馆分类法》(简称LCC)、《杜威十进分类法》(简称DDC)、《通用十进分类法》(简称UDC)、《中国图书馆分类法》(简称《中图法》)四部图书分类法中的设类。在此基础上,进行比较研究,评析不同分类体系对这一新兴跨学科领域的应对情况。最后结合女性研究的跨学科性和《中图法》的现状提出启示:建立《中图法》常规修订机制,增进对新兴跨学科领域内容的组织与服务,关注类目修订中的社会文化关联。This research investigates how"women’s studies"is categorized in the following 4 bibliographic classifications:Library of Congress Classification(LCC),Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC),Universal Decimal Classification(UDC),and Chinese Library Classification.Then,a comparative study is conducted to evaluate the responsiveness of the bibliographic classifications above to the emerging interdisciplinary fields.Finally,suggestions are provided such as establishing a regular revision mechanism for the Chinese Library Classification,enhancing research on information organization and service in interdisciplinary fields,and paying attention to the social and cultural correlation among classes.
